The unit has a good image quality and brightness for the price but the lack of a carrying case force the user to carry with the power supply (which is large and heavy by the way), the DB9 cable, CD software and remote control elsewhere…. come on ViewSonic dont be so cheap selling a good middle class projector lacking such a basic accessory?

Just got it, tested it out, and got serious air let out of my tires. This is a beautifully designed product, tiny in size, next step from the pocket projectors, light, portable, plug-n-play, all that.
But when it came to picture quality, particularly color reproduction – it’s not even close. Sad, since I was planning on using it for my portfolio presentation, and with at least an hour worth of adjustments and mocking around, the picture is pathetic at best. Yellows come out green, no matter how much you try to adjust, reds are too dark, some blues look strange too. And the obvious – sharpness – with the highest sharpness setting it is still not sharp enough. Not sure how hard this was to engineer, but dear Viewsonic, people need quality picture, and this one would’ve been an awesome product if it did.
Looking for a better alternative; we’ll see what Epson and Samsung have to offer

The picture is big and beautiful. The machine is plug and play. The lamp is bright enough so that you don’t need total darkness. When you turn it off the lamp is cool so that you can pack it up immediately to take it. It’s just 2 pounds so that it’s a dream to transport. I really couldn’t be happier with it.
