Just found this on clearance rack for $75. I though it would be fun for movie night! Can’t wait to watch a movie on it tonight. I think for $75 and the bulbs are cheap you can’t beat that price. Kids don’t car if it has the best quality of picture.

I was lucky and purchased this item at the $99.00 price from one of the Reseller’s available through Amazon.

I use this on the wall anywhere from 6′-8′ and the picture quality is decent, but the [smaller] text is fuzzy at best. :o ( Don’t get me wrong, it gets the job done, but I expected more for the price ($250.00).

I’ve had this for around a year and use it semi-regularly. Has held up well & have yet to replace a bulb (they’re only $10-$15 anyway). If you can still find it cheaply, I consider it a good deal. I bought my first mini-projector in ‘92 for north of a half grand. It used the same tech as this, just was smaller. The older projector & a couple newer ones than the Torpedo I’ve tried don’t come close to this in brightness/overall pic quality & I paid less than thirty bucks w/tax brand new for this one. Screen door effect minor compared to many other machines in this price range. Display is uniformly lit/colored. Speaker plenty loud in regular room. Does it match my HDTV-capable DLP projector–no, but it’s not designed to.

I purchased 2 of these. I ended up using one for a *backyard theater* which everyone loves. I hook it up to a DVD player and project it onto an outside wall on my house. What a fun novelty, but it does have to be dark out. The other is in my guest room. My grand kids absolutely love to go to sleep with a movie playing on the ceiling over the bed! That is very easy to do with the stand that comes with it. The only thing I would change about it is the bulb. I am going to see if there is a way to replace it with something brighter
