The Epson 6500UB may not actually have a 75000:1 contrast ratio, but in our “1080p shootout” video the Epson 6500UB has the blackest blacks of them all – though some models come close. In reality most of the contrast numbers are inflated a bit. What matters more to most people is it’s peformance in real life conditions – and the 6500UB is impressive in person. In the future we may do our own bench testing, but Audioholics, Projector Reviews and Projector Central have reviews up for this model.

So if he was doing this for 15 years he should know what the best projector was to produce these contrast ratios and he doesn’t mention anything.

Jeff did not reveal the product with the ’spectacular’ contrast level, even though we asked a few times. We will see if we can get it out of him next time he’s here.
