Installation was frustrating. The product blurb says that it is Vista compatible. Itried installing it on home preminum 32 bit Vista OS. It installed. But when I tried using it. first it said ” could not find camera” although I had connected the camera(?) and it was recognized by Vista. I tried the whole process again several times with the same result or cryptic comment ” connect the manufacturer” or some Japanease or Chinese caharacters on the screen. I have tried install uninstall process several times and even tried a 64 bit install as my computer is a 64 bit Compaq/Athlon. Does not work. So I conclude the the product is defintely not compatible wit Vista. I am going to try it on Windows XP computer next. Hope it works!

I bought this item over the others because it was the least expensive.
Works without any problems from day 1.

I could not make it work, I tried with different PC, laptop and nothing. I sent an e-mail to Amazon, since I could not find any way to contact them directly and no response so far. Do not waste your money as I did.

I was able to easily set up this device and software. However there was way too much contrast in the scanned images (beyond what could be addressed even in photoshop), and no control for the brightness or contrast on the unit. The device did not live up to its promise.
