		<description>1. Lumens is brightness. The higher this number for a front projector, the better/brighter the image and the farther you can throw it.

2. Is there a difference - nothing definitive, but my friends who have front projectors tend to only use them for DVD movies and have some other TV for casual watching.

3. I would suggest a rear-projector DLP set as being more &#039;mature&#039; and therefor more reliable.  The one problem with a projector is people want to make it small. This means a lot of heat in a small package and this tends to &#039;cook&#039; things.  Rear projector TV&#039;s have been around for 20-30 years and even if the guts have changed, the larger box gives the engineers a lot of options.  

4. My lamp just went out after 3 years. I found a website on how to replace it my self, but I discovered my service contract still existed so they put in a new bulb for free.</description>
