When I received this projector, the first thing that caught my attention was the box. From the writing on it, I could tell it was a returned product. There was a message saying that a problem was solved. Anyways, once I set up the projector and turned it on, it took a long time to initialize. Then the display light indicated that there was a problem with the lamp. I called Epson to troubleshoot and it was indeed a bad lamp.

I needed this project urgently for a presentation, and I would never have expected to receive a damaged product. If I buy a brand new projector, I expect it to have a new lamp as well as everything else.

Epson is shipping me a new bulb, and I hope that solves the problem.

I was going to rate this 4 stars, but reconsidered due to the price of the projector and the size of the quality image. This projector has a usb port and is great for powerpoint presentation. I wouldn’t use the USB for video as it is too slow to respond to the image. But other then that. Works great for the price.

This really is probably the best bang for your buck projector. Great image quality even under bright lights. I use this mostly for business presentations but have also used it for home and personal use. Projects 1080i HD and looks great. I use this in small areas as well as on my 150″ projector screen at home with my HD box. My only complaint is that only have S-video and VGA really in the back for hookups. I would like to see HDMI or DVI, but it does come with a VGA to component adapter so I use that for HD signals.

This projector was purchased for use in our school’s classrooms. It works well with our laptop and room computer. It’s easy to set up and run. As a busy teacher it was a relief to not have a piece of equipment so complicated that it took a scientist to show you how to turn it on.Epson EX50 3LCD Multimedia Projector, XGA, 2200 Lumens
